develop 3 final prototype
hey guys
George and Thomas back here with another update this week.
Our second prototype have been play tested last week and we got a few good feedback for example taking away a box collider that was interfering with our arm grabbing mechanic and how it make make the arm less buggy if we make it longer.
Our third prototype theme was based on time so we both made a prototype each one with a timer and the other a day and night cycle.
Working off our week one prototype, we attached the arm to a moveable character. Tweaking the physics of the arm’s throwing, we managed to make the throwing more intuitive and responsive by simulating a vector that changes with the position of the hand when the player lets go of physics props.
We decided to make a timed challenge where the player must score as many baskets as possible in an allocated time. After implementing some basic UI elements and a basketball court made of Unity primitives, the challenge was ready.
Our day and night cycle is very simplistic just turning the light on and off with the nights being a bit longer than the day change.
The question we answered where:
How to make a day and night cycle?
How to make a working time challenge mini game in a game?
